Prima magazine feature

Post by David Roth » Tue Jul 07, 2009 5:13 pm

Prima magazine is going to do a feature on the diversity of family life in the UK today, and they want to include a section featuring some grandparents who are raising their grandchildren. They are requesting that anyone who takes part in this should be able to provide a photo of the family, which I am aware would be a stumbling block for some of you.

Anyway, here is the request from Tammy Cohen of Prima magazine. If anybody does fell that they might be able to take part, please get in touch with me. Their deadline is noon next Wednesday 15th July. Here is Tammy's request:

Hi there

Prima magazine is running an extended in-depth feature celebrating the 'modern family'. We're looking at how the UK has moved on from it's nuclear family fixation and how the word family now encompasses such a huge range of living arrangements. We hope to include examples of individual families to illustrate this.

The family groups we're looking for are:

1. Family where both parents lost jobs in credit crunch
2. Blended (step familes mixing)
3. Only child
4. Single mum
5. Grandparents bringing up kids
