Party Parliamentary taskforce on kinship care

Post by Forum Administrator » Wed Aug 29, 2018 9:49 am

Dear kinship carers,

Please write/email your MP to increase awareness of kinship care, highlight key concerns faced by kinship carers & encourage them to get involved in the cross-party parliamentary taskforce on kinship care. The more of you who write a letter, the better - the taskforce is a really important opportunity to get kinship care much higher on the political agenda.

Please click here to access a draft letter that you can use in order to raise the matters that are important to you with your MP

Once you have added in your details, please email or post the letter to your MP. Please also copy the letter that you send to your MP and any response that you get to the Taskforce c/o cashley@frg.org.uk or post these letters to the Parliamentary Taskforce c/o Cathy Ashley, Family Rights Group, Print House, 18 Ashwin Street, London E8 3DL.

The task force has been set up by Anna Turley MP, with the support of Family Rights Group and the Kinship Care Alliance. Its aim is to raise awareness about, and support for, children in kinship care and to highlight the importance of this option for children who cannot live with their parents.

Many thanks

Cathy (Ashley, Chief Executive Family Rights Group)
