Social worker rang and said she needs to do a child in need meeting.
Three days before final hearing. Is this routine?
She said it's just routine but I have little faith in her anymore.
She said it's normal to do this when on supervision order as they are no longer looked after children it replaces lac reviews.

Dear nannyloves2
Thanks for your further post.
I don’t think the social worker is recommending anything out of the ordinary. It is true that children who are cared for under a CAO or a SGO are no longer looked after children so their LAC reviews stop. Where there is a supervision order in place children’s services usually remain involved under a child in need process with child in meetings held at regular intervals to review how the children are getting on in their home and if the right support and services are in place.
You could ask the social worker, though, for a copy of the local authority’s policy on how they manage cases where there is a supervision order in place.
You might also find our advice sheet on family support helpful as this explains more about child in need.
I hope everything works out well for you and the children
With best wishes
