We are North of Ipswich just off the A12. Used to be in north Wales but moved in the summer. Best thing we have done in a long while!
Thanks!

Ranting
I just need to rant. It is BM's birthday today. We last heard from her just before Christmas when she thanked us for what we had sent her and then informed us she had no money so wasn't going to send the little one anything - not even a card. That was only a couple of months after she didn't send hi...

Re: Fed up with social workers and their lies
We are now the other side of this really difficult time in our lives. The allegations against my husband are not being pursued any further (lack of evidence) which is a real weight off our shoulders. However it did not get resolved soon enough for us to take on our grand-daughter. We told the childr...

Fed up with social workers and their lies
Life is a bit of a turmoil at the moment. We have our grandson on an RO and have been being assesed to foster our grandaughter (who is in local authority care). Alongside this an ex-member of my other half's family has made some very serious allegations (pack of lies) about my husband, which is why ...

Which court do we apply to?
I'm a bit confused! I was looking into applying for SGO for the little one. We have a residence order for him. The thing is we are likely to move in the fairly near future and we will be living in a different county. On the advice sheets it says you should apply to the court closest to where the chi...

Re: How much contact?
Thanks for the reply, David. We are considering SGO for the little one we have and the second if the baby comes to us. Our advice has been that we should apply for both at the same time. Personally I would like to adopt rather than have an SGO - but that is purely about me. I'm sure SGO gives the st...

Re: How much contact?
I felt the need to re-read what I had posted a couple of weeks ago. I was definitely a bit low! So far we have heard nothing from birth mum or her solicitor about the arrangements for contact - she is supposed to sort it out although practically he will do it for her. I guess it is just 'wait and se...

Re: SGOs AND PASSPORTS
You can apply for a copy of the birth mothers birth certificate from the general registra office. They send you a document you can then use for the passport application.

Re: How much contact?
Hi David Thanks for the congratulations. It still feels quite strange to be honest but at least we can rest a little easier for now. The contact is set out as part of the residence order - but it is only for an hour twice a fortnight, and supervised at a contact centre. I think there is an element o...
