Re: advice needed (again)

i have spoken to ss today and they have said more or less what you both have, ie stay strong and remind them who has got the children and why

------------------

Very glad they backed you up on this nannylove. Good luck - you are totally in the right.

Re: Can we reduce contact

Hi Jean, I'm so glad things have improved with your son and his partner to the point that they can come to your home now and you can be a family together. It must have taken a lot of work to get to this point. Your g/d's mum sounds emotionally immature and lacking in insight, which fits with her his...

Re: Can we reduce contact

Hi Irene, I don't know why I forgot to mention neutral venues when I posted - we used to meet our daughter/gd's mum out at places at times but haven't done this for some time now.. I fully agree that home has to be a safe place for the children and if it's not going to be with parents visiting, then...

Re: Making the board better!

Hi Help, good to see you here :) Thanks for that tip, it works brilliantly using explorer. I've started using explorer for more things now because of being able to enlarge the print - I can't fathom how to enlarge it when I'm logged on via AOL which doesn't use explorer. I think I'll pass on turning...

Re: Can we reduce contact

Should probably have done two separate posts with the comments on Suzie's not included in the reply to jeanp - if anyone wants to pick up on the subject of contact in the home versus at a contact centre, I could start a new thread?

Re: Can we reduce contact

Hi again jeanp It sounds as if you do an excellent job with the contact visits. I don't know if it's easier or harder if the mum/parent is your own child or not, though there will obviously be family dynamics with your own child. With respect to what Suzie said, I do understand the reasoning behind ...

Re: Can we reduce contact

Hi jeanp, so glad it's calmer and better for your g/d not having the contact with her mum. I thought about doing the same as you have with FB but haven't got around to it yet - I think my daughter's probably a bit more savvy these days and might see through it but it might be worth a try. It's hard ...
