Re: new to all this

Grandad Brian, I am so very sorry to hear of your tragic loss, and of the traumatic circumstances you find yourselves in. The FRG staff are excellent and much more knowledgeable than I am as a grandparent carer, but I just want to urge you to persist in seeking contact with your grandchildren, who n...

Re: Financial Worries

Hi Caringaunt

(trying to work out who you are, do you want to tell us your old name?)

Just want to wish you all the best with this. It's shocking that you are being put in this position. Thinking of you.

Re the medications, Help: I was extremely angry at being put in the position of having to put myself at risk, though my GP referred me to a chest consultant to oversee it so it was done carefull...

Re: Interesting House of Commons debate on Early Interventio

This is just another example of th short-sighted approach, supposedly saving money but costing much more both financially and in terms of damage d...

Interesting House of Commons debate on Early Intervention

Another link .. our MP made a comment which is how I was sent it as I subscribe to their "They Work For You" emails. You may need to scroll back to the beginning if it comes up in the middle. I'm not convinced by Andrea Leadsom's apparent starting point of last year's riots, but find her k...

Yes I saw it at the time David. I agree with your comments and was glad they included the information about John phoning Aunt Mimi every week - she must have been devastated by his murder.

Re: References within the Assessment

I think David's suggestion of putting things in writing is excellent. It gives you the chance to show who you really are and not to be totally reliant on one social worker's perception of you. We had to do this when we applied to adopt over thirty years ago, and although it was quite a chore at the ...
