Re: Will co-ercion by SS

<t>eldest daughter was 19 and pregnant. Her elder brother was a threat to the family, drug addict etc. and was constantly breaking in and threatening the whole family. My sister was on heavy morphine at the time of writing of the will and I believe that SW being the only witness was a conflict of in...

Will co-ercion by SS

<t>Just found out from executor of my sisters will that the only witness was SW and solicitor. The executor said that SS instructed and paid for the will and that my sister wanted her eldest daughter to be guardian of her son (my nephew). SW pointed out that if that was the case my nephew would be p...

Meeting today with SS

<t>Hi all, can't believe it today. The deputy director of childrens services didn't really say anything to us. She just said she agreed with the findings of the Independent Investigation Stage 2. complaint results. The biggest shock was she told us that you had to have training to be a kinship foste...

SGO Hearing today

<t>Just got back from Court for SGO. It has been adjourned for approx. 6 weeks. The Judge expressed that she is very worried that the case has taken a year and there is no support package in place and parental responsibility is unclear. She directed both Local Authorities to come to an agreement abo...

SGO Hearing

<t>Hi all, have our SGO Hearing on Thursday 18th March. We are asking for an adjournment as our solicitor has used up all our LA funding before we have even got there. There is no financial assessment in place, although we have today finally received one from the LA where my nephew is living with us ...

Re: Results of Stage 2 complaint

<t>Hi David,<br/> <br/> You are right, don't think we are going to get anywhere questioning the will. My sister knew that we put our hands up to have my nephew, even though she didn't seem sure where she wanted him to go etc. Our problem is that the SW came to us and said she was carrying out a viab...

Re: Results of Stage 2 complaint

<t>My sister in fact stated quite clearly on several occasions that she wanted my nephew to stay with his siblings. It was only when the SW called round with a solicitor to write the will that the SW persuaded her to write my name in her will, as the eldest sister was pregnant and stated that she co...

Re: Results of Stage 2 complaint

Hi there, social services co-erced my sister to name me as guardian in her will without a meeting with myself, SW was witness to the will. If they hadn't done this there would have been no will and nephew would have automatically become a LAC as no-one else had PR. Hope that clarifies things.
