My with gets PIP ( enhanced rate ) I'm her carer. We have an SGO for our granddaughter. I claim , HB , CTB , IS , CA , CB and CTC's. Our LA give us the full fostering allowance. Also the allowance makes no difference to the housing benefit or council tax benefit.

My Granddaughter came into our care straight from her parents. Childrens services were involved from her birth and asked us if we wanted to care for her and paid all the legal costs. That is good news suzy. I agree with Irene . The child comes first ... always. We have had a few tense periods due to the parents but hey nobody said it would be easy....although it is getting easier now we have got a lot stronger. My only advice would be not to be scared to say no to the birth pare...
