Re: Benefits advice relative to a SGO
My with gets PIP ( enhanced rate ) I'm her carer. We have an SGO for our granddaughter. I claim , HB , CTB , IS , CA , CB and CTC's. Our LA give us the full fostering allowance. Also the allowance makes no difference to the housing benefit or council tax benefit.

Re: All about the Pupil Premium
My Granddaughter came into our care straight from her parents. Childrens services were involved from her birth and asked us if we wanted to care for her and paid all the legal costs. We also get a monthly allowance. So will our granddaughters school receive the premium when she starts infant school.

Re: confused and looking for impartial advice regarding sgo
That is good news suzy. I agree with Irene . The child comes first ... always. We have had a few tense periods due to the parents but hey nobody said it would be easy....although it is getting easier now we have got a lot stronger. My only advice would be not to be scared to say no to the birth pare...

Re: Grandparents' contact
We have a sgo for our granddaughter. Her other grandfather has a violent history and is a recovering alcholic , although I say recovering loosely as he still likes a drink. They use to see their granddaughter often in our local town when the parents spent a couple of hours of unsupervised contact wi...
