What can I do now

Hi, I have not posted here for a while, as I can just about manage to deal with life each day. Since a place order was granted in January of 2013 and contact stopped on March 2014 as we were told that the LA had found a family. I have had no update from the SW (4th one) I did e mail to find out how ...

Re: Is it in best interests...

Thank you for that, I have got to the stage were I don't know what to do next. We are not entitled to legal aid, can't get a loan as I'm the only one working part time and solicitors quoting silly money £8500 just to put in application for leave to revoke placement order. Represented ourselves at SG...

Re: Is it in best interests...

My heart goes out to you and all other grandparents who find themselves in this position. My grandchildren also appear on your website link. Unless you have actually lived through this nightmare people have know idea of how manipulative LA's can be. They all have they same mantra " in the best ...

Re: Contact after Placement Orde issued

If the LA were following the care plan agreed in court and the SW was able to explain the situation we would be in a better position to understand what is going on. The care plan states we are to have two hours contact and we have been told that this is now not possible no other explanation ! Other ...

Re: Contact after Placement Orde issued

Thanks for that I thought along those lines myself, but why are they still letting my grandson come, we have been told that they would not separate them. According to the LA the grandson is the one with issues, do they do as they say??

Contact after Placement Orde issued

My grandchildren are aged 5 and 3 and we have for the passed year struggled to get the LA to assess us for Special Guardianship, this was refused by the high courts in January. The final care plan which was for adoption states that contact with parents and grandparents is to be reduced, until Decembe...

After this the judge has...
