Caf Cass Involvement
Hello All It has been a few years since I asked for advice. However, in 2011 our son was granted RO for our two grandsons with the court order stating no contact either direct or indirect by mother. Earlier this year, mother was granted Legal Aid (*questionable) and successfully granted a Contact Or...

Re: Public Funding
Thank you so much David. This is heartening as our son was in court yesterday but has been adjourned yet again. To be fair the judge was not best pleased to be presented with the particulars of the case as the original RO granted to our son in 2011 stated that Mother was to have "no direct/indi...

Re: Public Funding
Thank you for your response ied53, and you would think that wouldn't you? She has totally duped the system and it would seem that it could take weeks/months for Legal Aid governing body to tackle this. It makes me wonder whether it is worth being honest anymore, as it doesn't get us anywhere!! We ar...

Re: Public Funding
Hi Again, re Legal Aid Certificate granted, is it possible for the commission to remove funding if it is proven that someone has been totally dishonest on the application form via the solicitor. Also, shouldn't the solicitor have checked on previous history?
Thank you
Grace

Re: Court Papers
Thank you Robin, its as we thought. However, there are no charges, there never have been. As far as we know this is yet another attempt by mother to discredit our son. Not once has she ever given any weighting to the childrens' needs and feelings. Despite still being at a tender young age, they are ...

Court Papers
Hi everyone, can anybody please advise. After five years an accusation of DV has been made against our son by his ex partner. Previous accusations prior to 2009 were judged to be unfounded by the court, during a long and extremely fraught custody battle. Our son was granted a permanent RO in 2011 an...

Re: Public Funding
Thank-you David. Our son is now back in court on 17 March and the mother has made an application giving DV as the basis despite our son not seeing her in the last five years aside from appearances in court. It does however seem ridiculous that a case already proven in court that she lied about DV, a...

Public Funding
Hi Could anyone advise on whether a person can qualify for Public Funding twice. Our son was granted RO by the courts in 2010. Mother was instructed that she was not permitted to have indirect contact with the children (our grandsons). The order stipulated that if she breached that ruling she would ...

Re: Help Please
Thank-you Robin. Grateful for your very quick response. It was the Guardian who broke the news of the DNA to our son. We are still in shock about that as we went through so much with DNA testing for our youngest grandson. However, you mentioned NSPCC, I hadn't thought of them to report a baby at ris...

Help Please
Been here before so many times. Our son has RO for our two grandsons as their mother has a police caution for assaulting her oldest child when he was 5. She left the family home and there was a lengthy court case with us fighting the local authority for negligence by the social worker. She is curren...
