Service Development Officer, Coventry Family Group Conference Service

There is currently a Service Development Officer vacancy in the Coventry Family Group Conferencing Team.

What is the job role?
The Service Development Officer's role is to support and coordinate the delivery of Lifelong Links (LL) and Family Group Conference (FGC) Services.
Main duty and responsibilities will involve:
• Use a range of data and information sources and systems undertaking the mapping of activity and produce forecasts to inform service planning.
• To establish and maintain documentation /information to assist FGC and LL coordinators and Management Team to monitor quality of service, liaising with responsible staff to ensure deadlines are met and alert the managers to any issues of potential concern.
• Organise and minute meetings, i.e. monthly FGC & LL Team Meetings, meetings of implementation group for LL and any other key meetings as directed.
• Monitor and track referrals into both LL & FGC Services.

Who are we looking for?

To be successful in this role you will need the following skills, knowledge and experience:
• Educated to Degree level or equivalent qualifications and/or substantial work experience.
• Knowledge of the agenda for children and families.
• Understanding of the City Council's Equal Opportunities Policy and a commitment to the Departments' core values.
• How to use information from a variety of sources for analytical and comparative purposes to measure performance.
• Ability to analyse financial and numerical data , provide an account of impact of decisions on finance and advice on financial implications of decisions.
• Ability to take personal initiative and respond independently to unexpected problems and work on own initiative.
• Ability to utilise IT software to assist in monitoring and evaluation of services using all available information.
• Experience in producing a range of high-quality reports and documents.
• Experience in creation and use of spreadsheets, word processing, and presentation packages database and spreadsheet packages.
• Experience of presenting information to a variety of stakeholders.
