EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST FOR THE FAMILY GROUP CONFERENCE SERVICE CONTRACT

In order to meet its requirements under the Public Law Outline to have undertaken a family meeting prior to the commencement of any court proceedings, the London Borough of Southwark invites Expressions of Interest from suitably qualified organisations for the provision of a Family Group Conference service for children and families subject to care proceedings, child protection procedures and children in need.

The contract will be for an initial term of three years, with an estimated value of £216,000. There will be an option to extend the contract for two twelve month periods at the sole discretion of the council.

Please note, it is an essential requirement that prospective applicants have a minimum of two years experience of providing and managing a family group conference service for vulnerable people in a socially challenging environment.

It is the council’s view that the provisions of the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations 2006 as well as the European Council Directive (2001/23/EC) of the 12 March 2001(TUPE) may apply to this contract.

Suitably qualified and experienced organisations who wish to be considered for this service are invited to complete a pre-qualification questionnaire. The purpose of the pre-qualification questionnaire is to create a short list of organisations who have demonstrated that they have sufficient financial and economic standing, and technical capacity and ability to be invited to tender for this contract.
