Established as a registered charity in 1974, we work to increase the voice children and families have in the services they use. We promote policies and practices that assist children to be raised safely and securely within their families, and campaign to ensure that support is available to assist grandparents and other relatives who are raising children who cannot live at home.
ADVICE SERVICE OPENING HOURS EXTENDEDOur free, confidential advice service for families is now open an hour and half longer each day, from 10am-3:30pm Monday to Friday. The freephone number is 0800 731 1696. We have also opened two lines, so more callers can get through to our specialist advisers. Please click here to find out more about the advice service. |
ARE YOU RAISING A YOUNGER SIBLING? IF SO WE'D LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU
Family Rights Group is setting up a project focusing upon families where children are being raised by their older brothers or sisters – or ‘sibling carers’, as they are known. As part of this project, we wish to talk to people who are involved in sibling care arrangements – sibling carers, the children and young people they are raising, as well as social workers and other practitioners.
