Notice board for practitioners working with family and friends carers

Do you work with grandparents and other relatives who are raising children? This notice board is for you. Do you have good practice examples we should know about? Are there ideas about engaging carers that you want to discuss wtih other practitioners?

If you think there are lessons we could learn from your organisations or project, if you are holding a relevant event or if you want to consult colleagues then please use the noticeboard.
You can view and read postings before registering but in order to contribute you need to be a registered member. If you would like to register now please click here. Registration is free and only takes a few minutes. The only required fields are your Username, which may be your real name or a nickname, and a valid e-mail address. Once you've filled in and submitted the registration form, you will receive an email with a link that you will need to click on in order to activate your registration.

NETIQUETTE

We'd like the discussion boards to be a safe place for people to exchange ideas and talk about subjects close to their hearts. For this reason we may occasionally remove postings, either because they are offensive or abusive, or because they are libelous and could put us in legal jeopardy. If messages are off topic they may be removed or placed in a more suitable area. We also reserve the right to ban visitors who use offensive language or act in an antisocial or unacceptable way.

Please be aware that posting on a board is not always the same as talking and something that might be said in a lighthearted manner could easily be misunderstood or taken the wrong way and cause offence.

Writing in CAPITALS is known as shouting, and some people find this offensive (it is also harder to read).

We will not tolerate racism, sexism or homophobia in any posting.

If you read something that you find offensive, please inform the administrator, giving the location of the message.
